Saree

The saree: a timeless piece of elegance that blends tradition with grace. Draped in history, it’s not just an outfit—it’s a statement of cultural beauty. The saree's adaptability and versatility have allowed it to remain a prominent and beloved garment in South Asia, continuing to be worn by millions of women in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, as well as in the global diaspora.

The saree is one of the oldest forms of clothing still in use today, with a history that dates back thousands of years. Its origins are believed to go back to the Indus Valley Civilization, which existed around 2800–1800 BCE. This makes the saree at least 5,000 years old.

Early references to the saree are found in ancient Indian texts and scriptures, where it's depicted as a long, unstitched piece of cloth draped in various styles.
